Terese Colling has worked in the field of government relations for over twenty-five years and established herself early as a coalition builder and team player. Her respected and unique systematization combines an "outside the beltway" corporate approach with an insider's expertise of Washington public policymaking. Colling has led the government relations and strategic efforts of a Fortune 500 diversified media corporation spanning nearly her entire professional career and has developed strong bipartisan ties while working on many issues for the broadcast, cable, and newspaper industries.
For over 15 years, Colling lobbied Congress and the Administration on behalf of the 100% Recycled Paperboard Industry on issues such as taxation, international trade, recycling, and the environment. She has also worked to secure increased funding for micro-enterprise networks that provide small loans to the poorest 28 developing countries.
Colling was a founder and for seven years a principal of The Davidson Colling Group, a government relations firm known for their work on environment, health, and media issues. Prior to that she held senior level positions in the Washington offices of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott and Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel.
Colling is the former President of the Women's Council on Energy and Environment, serves on the Board of Governors for Opportunity International, founding member and Director of the Walking with Africans Foundation, and is the former co-chair of the Women's Campaign Fund, the nation's oldest and largest political action committee dedicated to electing progressive women to all levels of elective office. In this capacity Colling has forged life-long friendships with congressional women leaders in Washington.
